Dear Zizzo’s Customers,
As you may know, on January 1 of 2016, California’s minimum wage will be raised by $1.00 to $10.00 per hour: an 11% increase. In some cities and counties it will rise even higher. We fully support this increase to help employees earn more of a livable wage, particularly here in Santa Cruz County.
While we welcome this increase in the minimum wage, we also value all of our employees equally. To that end, we’re happy to announce that each of our employees will be receiving a $1.00 per hour pay raise.
The unfortunate downside of this wage increase is that it will mean a corresponding raise in the prices of our offerings in order to offset the additional costs of payroll. Beginning on January 2nd, you will see moderate price increases for most of our products.
We realize this is probably not the best news to start the new year with, but we hope you will join us in support of these higher wages as our economy continues to recover.
We sincerely wish to thank you for your continued patronage. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
